TERMS & CONDITIONS

By joining, visiting, or participating in any activity organised by Pole Dance Academy Malta, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

 1.⁠ ⁠Agreement to Terms

By creating an account, making a booking, or entering the studio premises, each participant (“Client”) confirms that they:
   •    Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
   •    Agree to follow all safety and conduct rules set by PDAM.
   •    Participate voluntarily and accept full responsibility for their own health and safety while taking part in any studio activity
.

 2.⁠ ⁠Health, Fitness & Personal Responsibility
 
 •    Pole and aerial fitness are physically demanding disciplines that involve strength, balance, and coordination.
   •    Each Client must ensure they are medically and physically able to participate.
   •    Clients must inform the instructor before class of any existing injuries, illnesses, or medical conditions that may affect participation.
   •    Participation is entirely at the Client’s own risk. PDAM, its owners, and instructors are not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during or after participation.
   •    PDAM may, at its discretion, request a medical certificate before participation if a health risk is suspected.

 3.⁠ ⁠Studio Conduct & Safety
 
 •    Respectful and supportive behaviour is expected at all times.
   •    PDAM maintains a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, bullying, or disrespectful communication.
   •    Clients must follow all instructor guidance and safety rules. Ignoring safety instructions may result in removal from the class.
   •    Equipment must be used correctly and respectfully. Any damage or malfunction must be reported immediately.
   •    No alcohol, drugs, or inappropriate behaviour are allowed on studio premises.
   •    For hygiene reasons, poles and aerial equipment must be cleaned before and after each use.

 4.⁠ ⁠Memberships, Subscriptions & Payments
 
 •    Memberships and subscriptions require a minimum three-month enrolment unless otherwise stated.
   •    Payments are automatically charged monthly on the same date as sign-up.
   •    After the initial three months, memberships may be cancelled with 14-day written notice before the next billing date.
   •    All payments are non-refundable once processed.
   •    Unused class credits or open practice sessions do not roll over to future months.
   •    Memberships are non-transferable and valid only for the registered Client.
   •    In special cases (injury, illness), memberships may be temporarily frozen upon written request and studio approval.
   •    PDAM reserves the right to adjust membership prices or benefits with reasonable notice.

 5.⁠ ⁠Class Attendance & Cancellations
   
   Classes must be booked in advance through the PDAM booking system.
   •    Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before class to avoid losing a class credit.
   •    Late cancellations or no-shows result in the deduction of one class credit.
   •    For unlimited memberships, repeated no-shows may incur a fee or suspension of booking privileges.
   •    Clients must arrive on time. Entry may be refused more than 10 minutes after class start time for safety reasons.

 6.⁠ ⁠Workshops & Open Practice
 
 •    Workshop payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
   •    Open practice sessions are unsupervised; clients participate entirely at their own risk.
   •    Only PDAM members or approved clients may attend open practice sessions.
   •    Equipment must be handled safely and cleaned after use.

 7.⁠ ⁠Kids Aerial Term
 
 •    Parents or legal guardians must complete a registration form and consent on behalf of minors.
   •    Parents accept full responsibility for the child’s safety, behaviour, and punctual drop-off and pick-up.
   •    PDAM is not responsible for minors before or after their scheduled class time.
   •    All communication regarding attendance or absences must be made directly with the studio.
   •    Kids are expected to follow instructor guidance and treat equipment and peers with respect.

 8.⁠ ⁠Photography, Media & Privacy
 
   •    PDAM may occasionally capture photos or videos during classes for promotional use.
   •    By attending, clients grant PDAM permission to use such material for marketing unless they opt out in writing prior to class.
   •    Personal data collected through registration is used solely for booking, communication, and safety purposes.
   •    PDAM complies with GDPR and does not share client information with third parties without consent.

 9.⁠ ⁠Property & Personal Belongings
    •    Clients are responsible for their personal items. PDAM is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
   •    Lockers and storage areas are used at the client’s own risk.

10.⁠ ⁠Suspension or Refusal of Service

PDAM reserves the right to suspend or terminate access without refund if a client:
   •    Breaches these Terms & Conditions,
   •    Behaves inappropriately or unsafely, or
   •    Causes harm or damage to staff, clients, or property.

11.⁠ ⁠Changes to Schedule or Services

PDAM may modify class timetables, instructors, or studio operations at any time to maintain quality and safety standards.
Clients will be informed of significant changes through email, WhatsApp, or social media updates.

12.⁠ ⁠Limitation of Liability

Participation in pole and aerial activities carries inherent risk.
By joining PDAM, the Client voluntarily assumes all responsibility for personal safety and releases PDAM, its owners, instructors, and staff from any liability arising from injury, accident, or loss occurring during participation in studio activities.

13.⁠ ⁠Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malta.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Malta. 

By ticking the T&C box at check, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the Terms & Conditions of Pole Dance Academy Malta.You acknowledge that you participate voluntarily and accept full responsibility for your safety and conduct while attending the studio.

STUDIO POLICY

Pole Dance Academy Malta - Effective 1st May 2025 

1. Class Booking

  • Students must book their classes online via the website.

  • Online booking is allowed up to 2 hours before the class start time.

  • If you wish to join a class but cannot book online, you must either:

    • Visit the studio in person to register, or Contact us directly (WhatsApp, phone, or email) to book you into the class manually.

  • Walk-ins without prior notice are not guaranteed entry if the class is full.

 

2. Class Rescheduling

  • Class rescheduling is allowed up to 8 hours before the class start time.

  • To reschedule, please log in to your account on our website.

  • Rescheduling is only permitted for the same class type (e.g., Pole for Pole, Aerial for Aerial).

 

3. Class Cancellations

  • If you cancel more than 8 hours before class, your class credit will be returned to your package for future use.

  • If you cancel less than 8 hours before class, the session will be deducted from your package.

  • No refunds are given for cancelled classes, regardless of the notice period.

 

4. Class & Package Purchases

  • All class packages and membership purchases are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable.

  • Packages bought on offer cannot be extended or refunded.

 

5. Late Arrival Policy

  • Students arriving more than 10 minutes after the class start time may not be allowed to join the session, at the instructor’s discretion, for safety and class flow.

  • Late arrivals are still counted as attended and will be deducted from the package or membership.

 

6. Membership Suspension & Freezing

  • Memberships are non-freezable, except in the case of a certified medical condition.

  • A valid medical certificate must be provided to request a suspension or extension.

 

7. Membership Activity Requirements

  • To maintain an active membership, members must attend at least one class every 21 days.

  • If a member does not attend any classes for 21 consecutive days, the membership will be considered inactive and automatically cancelled.

  • Cancelled inactive memberships are non-refundable and non-extendable, unless supported by a certified medical reason.

  • It is the student’s responsibility to manage class bookings and attendance to stay active.

 

8. Studio Class Changes & Cancellations

  • Pole Dance Academy Malta will make every effort to ensure classes run according to the published schedule. However, classes may be cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient participant numbers.

  • The minimum number of participants in a class is 3

  • In such cases:

    • Students will be notified 2hrs in advance by email or phone.

    • Cancelled class credits will be returned to the student’s account for use.

 

9. Health & Safety Waiver

Pole Dance Academy Malta prioritises the safety and wellbeing of all participants. However, it is important to recognise that pole dance, aerial arts, and fitness activities carry inherent risks of physical injury.

By attending classes, students acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • They are participating voluntarily and accept full responsibility for their own health and safety during all activities at the studio.

  • They will inform instructors of any pre-existing injuries, medical conditions, or health concerns before participating in any class or event.

  • They understand that participation is at their own risk and release Pole Dance Academy Malta, its instructors, and staff from any liability for injuries sustained during classes, workshops, or events.

  • If a student feels unwell or experiences pain during any class, they are expected to stop immediately and inform the instructor.

 

10. Important Notes

  • Always double-check your booking and cancellation deadlines.

  • Please arrive on time to ensure a smooth and safe class experience.

  • Communication and timely attendance are the member’s responsibility.
